Barcelona Testing [30-Jan-2002-09h56 CET] - Last weeks Barcelona test has continued over the weekend and into this week. Saturday (26th) saw Williams top of the tree in their FW23B beating last years Jaguar R2C by 0.8s. Marc Gene's top time was however 1.48s off the circuit record (1m 17.328s) set by Wurz in the McLaren the day before. Read full story

Prost close down [29-Jan-2002-10h04 CET] - As expected Alain Prost's Prost Grand Prix team went into liquidation yesterday (Monday). The team went into receivership in November and had till last week to put together a financial rescue package. Renault launch R202 [28-Jan-2002-11h23 CET] - Yesterday (Sunday) Renault launched their 2002 race car, the R202, in front of an invited audience at the Technocentre in Paris. The launch marks the return to F1 of a 100% Renault works team following the purchase of Benetton in 2000. The new car, designed by Mike Gascoyne, is a full redesign built around the new RS22 engine.
